Compact Viburnum Produces Profusely
Viburnum – Chiquita, Viburnum sargentii ‘Chiquita’, is a compact form of Sargent viburnum. It profusely produces flowers and fruit nicely.
The creamy white pinwheel-like flowers appear in late May.
‘Chiquita’ produces scarlet-red, persistent fruits that are showy against a backdrop of yellow-orange fall color. The fruit attract grateful birds in autumn.
‘Chiquita’ is an excellent bloomer with abundant fruit set and is certainly a shrub for all seasons!
This graceful shrub exhibits an enduring cold hardiness. It prefers rich, moist soil.
It blooms best in full sun, but can also tolerate partial shade.
