The Grass ‘Variegated Japanese Silver’, Miscanthus sinensis ‘Variegatus’, is a creamy white variegated grass. The feathery seed heads contribute to the striking appearance of this grass, making it an excellent alternative to Pampas Grass. Shearing after first frost for overwintering is recommended.

‘Variegated Japanese Silver’ makes an amazing vertical accent plant among low-growing plants or at the corners of a square patio, or line it up as background foliage for a bed of dwarf shrubs and perennials.

The ‘Japanese Silver Grass’ is very attractive near water gardens and makes wonderful wildlife cover. This upright, clumping grass has striking foliage and eye-catching flowering plumes that rise above the arching leaves.
