Live a lavish lifestyle with help from the exquisite Guernsey Cream Clematis (Clematis ‘Guernsey Cream’).These vining plants offer some of the most eye-catching blooms available on the market.
The blooms are huge and held prolifically across the top of the foliage. They are showy from the start of the season to their final finish for fall.
Pale yellow buds open to showcase rounded, creamy-white sepals with pale chartreuse bars. They overlap around prominent yellow stamens.
The unique pistachio coloration is very noteworthy. Use it as the exclusive flowering accent in a streamlined Zen Garden.
Or, mix it with other flowering Clematis varieties that bloom on last year’s growth. Intertwined with blue-toned Regal® Diamantina™ Clematis for a high contrast garden feature.
With their bold yellow boss of stamens, they also look gorgeous with Royal Gold Climbing Rose. Create your own sunshine with help from Nature Hills!
You’ll love the large, creamy-colored blooms in two waves each season. The flower power starts in late spring, and with a quick cleanup, resumes again in late summer.
Leave the last blooms in place on the vine to dry for winter interest. You’ll be pleased with the visual effect offered by the feathery texture of the faded seed heads.
Although the elegant blooms may look like “hothouse flowers”, nothing could be further from the truth. This lovely vine takes extreme cold and high heat when planted with the proper site requirements.
Support them with coated wire or netting, as they need to wrap their leaf stems around a narrow frame to climb. Use the lovely garden object you have your eye on, but give Guernsey Cream a helping hand with wide-mesh net first.
Before you plant, be sure to have your support structure in place. Given the proper care, Clematis can live to 50 years, so make sure it’s sturdy!
Vigorous Guernsey Cream Clematis deserves a place of pride in your landscape. It stays compact and can be used in smaller scale courtyards as well as oversized terrace plantings.

#ProPlantTips for Care
A planting site in full sun is best, although the warmer zones should provide their Clematis afternoon shade. Keep the roots shaded, or use a three-inch layer of mulch to keep the root zone nice and cool.
During planting, we advise well-drained soil, or elevating in a raised bed if you need to improve the drainage. Give your plant symbiotic life-long support from Nature Hills Root Booster to help the tiny feeder roots access micronutrients.
This variety is in Pruning Group 2. In early spring, prune them to a budding stem about 12 inches high. Remove dry and broken stems down to budding stems.
After the first flush of blooms, deadhead them and you’ll enjoy a second set of blooms. We call that a good trade-off!
Show off Guernsey Cream Clematis in a high-profile area. These marvelous rounded blooms truly excel in the landscape. Order today!
