Description
Sparkles In The Dark
Coral Bells Midnight Rose, Heuchera ‘Midnight Rose’, has burnished black leaves that are speckled with hot pink in the spring. As the season progress, the spots turn cream and green and the foliage becomes lighter.
For additional color, ‘Midnight Rose’ releases tall shoots of tiny pink flowers during the summer months.
It looks especially good around the edge of borders, near variegated plants, woodland edges, rock gardens, perennial borders, or in mass to form an attractive ground cover. ‘Midnight Rose’ looks excellent in partly shaded borders, under trees, and even mixed into ornamental containers on shady patios.
Cold and drought tolerant and withstanding heat and humidity, nothing seems to phase this plant. But to keep ‘Midnight Rose’ looking its best, be sure to water in hot, dry weather, giving the plant about one inch of water per week; divide clumps in fall.
Heuchera adds a bit of flavor to any perennial garden with its texture, vigor, and vibrant color. Attracting butterflies and hummingbirds, ‘Midnight Rose’ will surely become a “must have” plant for your borders, containers or mass plantings!
